zeashantakesphotos:

I went to a Stevie Wonder gig on Friday, here’s some photos.

I’m glad my parents didn’t mind me going for this during my exams.
Sucks my mom said no about Jessie J though, I had a ticket too (second time something like this happened).

Back in the UAE. India already feels like a distant dream which you only remember vague bits of.

We went to Abu Dhabi today (that’s right, even though our flight’s the next day and we haven’t started packing) to attend an informal farewell party for some relatives who were leaving the country forever, took this photo on the new Zayed bridge. It’s pretty massive.

“Raining badly, people were getting these transparent rubbish bags from the cleaners. I had to bribe them Dhs 50 to get three for ourselves.”

“Jonny Boy, our best friend in the world, I know this is your worst nightmare. Singing on a rainy day with a fucking palace over there, palm trees over there, loads of people outside wondering who the fuck Coldplay are. I know that you don’t like singing even in the bathroom or the shower. But let me ask you one simple simple tiny little question. Shhh! Are you in love?”

I uploaded a coupla (crappy) photos at Coldplay’s website.

Reading Roadie by Matt McGinn. It’s really hilarious, rude, and exciting and, naturally, a must read for a Coldplay fan. Not as many photos of the band than I hoped (well, I’ve only reached halfway) save for a few (really good) shots now and then. He even mentioned the Abu Dhabi gig I went to last year.

“Seriously, I’ve seen some pretty ill-equipped venues all around the world, over the past years: poor old desert-seared Abu Dhabi, for instance, was about as prepared as you might expect for a Viva La Vida outdoor show under the first actual thunderstorm of the awestruck, whooping audience seemed to have seen in their entire lives. Local stagehands held out umbrellas to save Jonny’s equipment from the water feature position neatly above it and we all prayed for a miracle.”

LOL Awestruck whooping audience, cuss yeah! That thunderstorm made the whole thing even greater than it was. Even the epic lightning, it was like God’s choreography to Viva La Vida.
